Commanded 70th (Young Soldiers) Bn The East Surrey Regiment from February to June 1941.
William Gray Horton was born on 24th August 1897 and was commissioned in The Scots Guards in May 1917. He was wounded on 28/29th November 1917 and awarded the Military Cross in 1918. He retired from the Army on 22nd October 1932. He was recalled and commanded the 70th (Young Soldiers) Bn The East Surrey Regiment from February to June 1941.
He died on 13th July 1974.
