British Ionian Islands. Colours presented at Corfu by Lady Butler.

 

Surrey Rifle Volunteer Corps

12th September

5th, 13th, 14th, 17th, 18th, 22nd, and 25th Corps raised.

The 2nd or Queen's Regiment and the 31st (Huntingdonshire) Regiment
in Chine and at the Tuku Forts.
The cartouche shows officer's and other ranks forage caps, an officer's sash
and 3 band Enfield rifled muskets.

1860

China. Storming of the Taku Forts. 2nd and 31st both take part in this action.

12th October

Capture of Pekin.

 

2nd Battalion

 

Malta and the British Ionian Islands.

 

3rd Ad Bn SRV

 

5th, 13th, 14th, 17th, 18th, 22nd, and 25th Corps formed into 3rd Ad Bn.

7th Febuary

Raised at Bermondsey.

Raised at Lambeth.
