Epilogue
This short account of the operations of The Queen's Royal Regiment in South East Asia during the 1939-45 War has been contributed by some of those who were there. There are, fortunately, a number of personal reminiscences which augment and lend colour to the story of the fighting. It is to be hoped that one day these may be produced as a book of eye-witness accounts of the Queen's in War.
In the meantime, extracts from some of these recollections are attached as annexes to the main story. They describe the conditions of the campaign in more detail, mention some previously unrecorded incidents and pay tribute to some of the officers and men who were there.
