Commanded 6th (Bermondsey) Bn The Queen's Royal Regiment from May 1950 to April 1955.
James Edwin Flint, known as 'Jimmy' was commissioned in The Queen's Royal Regiment and during the 1939-45 War served with the 2nd Battalion in the Middle East, Ceylon and Burma. He was adjutant of No.22 Column with The Chindit Force.
In May 1947 when the Territorial Army was re-formed he "joined the 6th (Bermondsey) Battalion as second-in-command.
In May 1950 he was appointed to command the Battalion and after completion of an extended tour of command retired in 1955.
He died on 26th March 1975 at the age of 66.
