10th July

Singapore. The hundred year Colours of the 1st Battalion were trooped for the last time on 10th July 1947 at Singapore. A stand of new colours was presented by the Hon. PAB McKerron CMG.

29th December

Battalion reduced to Cadre. Manpower posted to other units; cadre embarks for England.

 

2nd Battalion

17th January

Embarks for England and moves to Crowborough.

10th May

Moves to Dortmond, Germany. Occupation of the Ruhr.
