Commanded the 2nd Bn The Queen's Royal Regiment from September 1946 to January 1947.
Anthony James Arnaud Watson was born on 8th January 1910. He served in ranks for 3 years 200 days and was commissioned in The Queen's Royal Regiment in August 1931. He served with the 2nd Battalion between 1931 and 1936. In 1937 he was specially employed. He was Mentioned in Dispatches in December 1941.
In June 1946 he rejoined the 2nd Battalion in India as 2 i/c and in September 1946 was appointed to command. He brought the Battalion back to England landing at Tilbury in January 1947 when Lt Col L C East assumed command.
In 1949 he was with The Arab Legion.
In 1953 he was appointed 0C Troops at the Chemical Defence Experimental Establishment Porton Down.
He retired from the Army on 1st May 1956
